The Basic Band FAQ

Performance Times:

Shows start at 10:30pm and end at 2:00am Please be prepared to fill the time requirement.
Headlining bands are to arrive at the club no later than 6:30pm for load in and sound check. All supporting acts need to report by 7:30pm unless instructed otherwise. No sound checks after 8:30PM. All LOAD-IN and LOAD-OUT must be done at rear entrance and band vehicles moved immediately.

Money:

Upon confirmation of show, all acts will be given a minimum PAID guarantee. That includes: DJ/LIGHT PERSON, SOUND TECHNICIAN & HIGH PROFILE ADVERTISING (PRINT AND RADIO).
Guest lists will be approved at one-guest per band member only! All pay will be given to the contact person of the headliner act with written confirmation to distribute as seen fit.

Bar tabs:

Band members only will receive 1/2 off of their drink tabs at the end of the night as long as the tab is held open with a valid credit card (you may pay in cash).
*Note...no money will be paid out until tabs are closed

Lights and Sound:

Our 18' theater size projection screen (behind the stage) is available for all bands to use during their sets. You can play DVD or VHS format (no nudity or x-rated imagery allowed per ohio liquor laws). See Angelo in advance if you will be using the projection screen and what format you choose. Please bring burned DVD's early to confirm compatibility with our system.

Press Kit Info:

Please note that your press kit will not be returned.
We recommend a current CD with at least 3-4 songs
Include a high quality photograph for possible advertising. A bio including where you have played, who you have played with, style of music and contact info. Please put contact info on CD. Bands are also encouraged to have an online press kit including a high res. digital image, style of music, & contact info.

Venue Space:

Lofted 6,000 square feet of entertainment space. Includes two full service bars and kitchen.

Stage Dimensions:

23' wide
13 1/2' deep
3' high

Fliers:

Bands are responsible for their own fliers (at least 14" x 18" in size). At least 10 (14" x 18") fliers need to be left at the club no later than three weeks in advance. If band fliers are not available for posting three weeks before the show $100 comes off the guarantee. Please list the club's name, logo if possible (download Skully's Logo), address, and telephone number, as well as the date and time of the show. Fliers in the club must be large and eye catching (please do not use 8X10). Handbills are encouraged.
Please be considerate of other clubs when fliering.

Miscellaneous:

Equipment is not to be left overnight. Load in/out through back doors only. Please keep instruments against walls to avoid blocking fire exits. See Angelo for any questions. Please keep stage volume to a minimum as we have quality and professional technicians to control sound levels. Our sound technician will specify the stage amplifier volume with each band member. Bands that do not adhere to the sound technicians guidelines will be deducted off the guarantee.
