Handsome Furs is an indie rock band from Montreal, Canada. The band is comprised of husband/wife duo Dan Boeckner, from Wolf Parade and Atlas Strategic, and short story writer, Alexei Perry. The band signed on to Sub Pop Records in late 2006, and released their first full-length album, Plague Park, in 2007.
The band's name comes from the title of a short story that Alexei was writing at the time of band's conception.
In a December 2007 interview, Dan revealed that Handsome Furs are in the writing stages of a new full-length album, tentatively called Face Control: "When Alexei and I got back from Russia we were going to do an EP, but we’re also going to do a full album of new songs because we have so many. It’s going to be different than the last record... The last one was so intense and heavy in one direction that we wanted to do something different..."[2] The inspiration behind Face Control involves a peculiar aspect of club culture they observed while on tour in Eastern Europe: if party goers wish to reserve a table at a bar in Moscow, they must pay large sums of money through PayPal or with cash; however, their seat is still not guaranteed - bouncers have to authority to turn reserved patrons away from the bar based solely on appearance, which has been coined "face control".

Aesop Rock (born Ian Matthias Bavitz on 1976-05-11) is an American hip hop artist/producer. He was in the forefront of the new wave of underground acts that emerged during the late 1990s/early 2000s. He is signed to El-P’s Definitive Jux label.
Aesop’s style blends a varying tone and delivery with lyrics that contain intricate sequences of widely varying imagery, metaphors, puns, absurdism, and pop culture references, while including the occasional touchstones of traditional hip hop storytelling and self-promotion. As a result of this unorthodox style, Aesop has become a controversial rapper among hip hop enthusiasts.

CORNER ROCKAS
w/ DOCTAH X

Stretch Lefty formed in 2001, brings to the table a tasteful blend of Funk Reggae, and Hip-Hop with a classic quality reminiscent of Motown, Parliament Funkadelic and Bob Marley. For such a young band (all members were born in 1984) these kats are well rehearsed and ridiculously tight on stage. Stretch Lefty delivers an undeniably funky-fresh sound, that will have you nodding your head at the very least. Over the past two years they have gained major headway in the Columbus music scene by playing bars, festivals and larger venues, as well as performing weekly as a house band for many clubs.

THE FLEX CREW
REGGAE SUNDAY NIGHT
FLEX CREW-
Flex Crew's sound effects kill the pain of everyday angst like a morphine drip, with a consciousness-altering power. The sextet's power-packed reggae melds the tropical calypso roots of traditional reggae -- marked by that characteristic chord on the upbeat -- with the more militant brand, sometimes referred to as "rockers," that borrows from hip-hop, jazz, funk and rap. The result is a hard hittin' cosmopolitan strain of groove-dominated reggae. Flex Crew's mastermind, drummer/percussionist Troy "Daddy Troy" Jones, has performed with internationally known acts Identity, Steele Pulse, Michael Rose and Earl Zero. He was also the touring drummer Don Carlos of Black Uhuru fame.

THE SAILING
w/ HELP IS ON THE WAY
w/ THE HOT DAMN
w/ RED GIRL
The Sailing, from Dayton, Ohio, came together in early 2002. They make beautiful, lush, epic and often violently intense music inspired by a multitude of sounds that range from 8-bit video game compositions to the post-rock and shoegazer movements to Brit-pop to Scandinavian metal. Intricate patterns woven by wet, swirling guitar leads and innocent piano and vocal melodies give way to a surging cavalcade of synths echoing off volcanic walls of distorted guitar, reinforced by a relentless thunderstorm of bass and drums. Glorious, powerful, over-the-top, hilarious...these are but a few words to describe the unique force of The Sailing.

JUNIOR REVOLUTION
w/ WING & TUSK
w/ A FORTIORI
w/ J-RODDY WALSTON AND THE BUSINESS
For Junior Revolution music is emotion. It has its ups...it has its downs...with all that goes in between. Nearly ever day in one's life is spent flying through a myriad of emotions, so why should music be so different? Junior Revolution removes pretense in their approach to music, wanting to take you somewhere, but at the same time having no preconception of where they are taking you at all. For some, this may be disregarded as lack of forethought, but upon listening, one can't deny the exciting nature of such endeavors by a band.
